The story of Rearsby begins in the 9th century when it was established as a Danish settlement.

The life and times of the village have been recorded in numerous documents over the centuries. In 1984 Rearsby Local History Society produced a book called 'Rearsby, the Story of a Village' which brings together information from these sources. Much of what you will read in the following pages has been taken from this book.
